Drug Rugs for Sale

I was hanging out at a friend’s house the other day for a weekend party and noticed a very attractive girl wearing a drug rug.  I was talking with a friend of mine about something unimportant like economic policy or something like that, and I was only half listening to my friend who was going on and on because I couldn’t stop looking at this girl in a drug rug.  It wasn’t all too surprising to me.  Of course, I had known what they are.  I write for this blog dedicated to them.  But, what caught my curiosity was how others at the party were reacting to her.  Some people came up and bluntly asked, “What is that you’re wearing?”  I couldn’t tell if they were offended or intrigued.  Some others said, Hey, I love your drug rug.”  And then there’s this instant connection between them as they start talking about it.  It’s fascinating how much camaraderie there is between people that share the same fashion style.   They immediately ask about where they purchased them or how much it costs, or the brand.  But, almost always they just reach out and grab the sleeve of the person wearing it, and say, “I love these, they’re so soft.” And then they ask, “where can I get drug rugs for sale?”

Finally, my economics friend interrupts my day dreaming and says, “Dude, do you want to go talk to that girl.  I know you like the baja hoodie she’s wearing.”  I say, “Oh yeah, of course I want to talk to her.  I stopped listening to you 7 minutes ago.”

So, I go over to her and the first thing I say is.  “Drug Rug. Rasta.  BajaHoodiez.”  She said, “Yeah, how did you know?”  “There’s just some things I know, and this is one of them.”

I got to know her pretty well that night.  She was really cool.  What I like most about people that wear baja hoodies is that they are extremely authentic.  It’s so easy to tell who’s fake and who isn’t, especially when people keeping dressing like everybody else.  Wearing a baja sweatshirt is one way to express yourself the way you want.  It’s different, and yet has a classic vintage look as well.

And, that’s why I write this blog, because I want to tell everyone else about them and where to get them.  So here it is, Drug Rugs for Sale. Go to bajahoodiez.com and shop around for your favorite, and come back, leave a comment and let us know what you think.

And the next time someone comes up to you at a party and asks you “what do you call that thing you’re wearing?” you can say proudly, “This is a drug rug, I love it and you can get one too.”  They might be intrigued, they might not even care, but there’s nothing wrong with letting people know, especially when it’s something that you like.  It’s at least always a good conversation starter and will get peoples attention and interested in you.
